Maintenance & repairs
The right people, at the right time, with someone following up.
From everyday upkeep to organising qualified tradespeople, we coordinate quotations, access and agreed works, so you do not have to do it from abroad.
The real difficulty
A repair is simple. Arranging it from another country is not.
A boiler that needs servicing should be a small matter. From abroad, though, it means finding someone reliable, getting a price you can trust, letting them in, confirming that the work was done, and dealing with whatever happens if it was not.
We take on that coordination. We liaise with local service providers, make sure they have access at the agreed time, follow up with them, and keep you informed. You make the decisions, and you do not have to chase anyone.
How a job runs
From first notice to finished work.
01
The need is identified
During a visit, by you, or by one of your suppliers. We explain the situation to you as clearly as we can.
02
Quotations are arranged
Where appropriate we obtain quotations from suitable suppliers and pass them to you for a decision.
03
You authorise the work
Nothing proceeds beyond what you have authorised, whether case by case or under limits set in your agreement.
04
Access and coordination
We arrange access and timing with the supplier, and coordinate where more than one trade is involved.
05
Follow-up
We follow up on the agreed work and let you know the outcome, so the matter is properly closed.
Scope
The kind of work we coordinate.
Routine upkeep
Periodic tasks that keep a house in good order, such as servicing of equipment, attention to shutters and fixtures, and small jobs before they grow.
Repairs
Arranging a suitable tradesperson when something has failed or been damaged, and following it through to completion.
Larger projects
Where agreed, assistance with refurbishment and other larger works, including liaison with suppliers on your behalf.

An everyday example
The air conditioning that will not start.
You are due to arrive in June, and you would like to know that the air conditioning works before you land. We can include it in the checks before your stay. If a unit does not respond, we can contact a technician, share the quotation with you, arrange access for the visit and let you know when it is resolved, all before you have packed.
Costs and responsibilities
What to expect.
Suppliers’ charges are separate from our management fees. How quotations are approved and how suppliers are paid depends on your agreement, and is settled before any work begins.
The work itself is carried out by the suppliers concerned. Where a job needs particular qualifications or permits, it should be done by people who hold them, and we will raise this with you when we are aware of it. Availability of suppliers varies with the season and the type of work, so we do not promise fixed turnaround times.
